The elements of the National Brigade of the Judicial Police, based on precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, were able, in the early hours of Thursday, May 14th, to thwart an attempt at international drug smuggling and seize three tons and 400 kilograms of hashish.
This security operation was carried out in the rural area of "Oulad Azzouz" near the city of Casablanca, and resulted in the seizure of a utility vehicle after its driver abandoned it during a nighttime security chase, which was loaded with a total of 86 packages of hashish, weighing a total of three tons and 400 kilograms of hashish. The National Brigade of the Judicial Police has opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution to arrest the driver of the vehicle used in smuggling the seized drugs, as well as to arrest all those involved in the criminal network involved in this operation. This security operation falls within the framework of the intensive and continuous efforts made by the services of the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance to combat the international smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances.
