On Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the ROYAL TULIP Hotel in Tangier, the EQOTA Consulting Office in Consulting and Training organized a course entitled “Change is will and management” under the slogan: Change what is inside you, what surrounds you will change. But the speaker here is neither a coach nor a trainer in human development. Rather, he is the Sheikh, educator and Sufi reminder, Sidi Yassin Al-Wazzani, may God protect him. So imagine with me – dear reader – when you. learn these skills from those who have insight and people of knowledge… from those who are tested from the source of the Quran and who follow the advice of the Prophet Al-Adnan, may God’s prayers be upon him. of human development have always cracked our heads talking about change, positivity and… But their words are momentary stimulation… and local anesthesia… and soft, elegant and graceful sentences… and flying above the clouds like a cockroach in the pink world with paper wings…
But in this course you will find the lecturer (the Sheikh) opening your heart and mind inside the Quran, taking you out of your heart to realize your true self and opening your vision of your world and life after death.
You must change, not change:
The course began by defining the concept of change and that it is development and promotion to reach the level of righteousness. What is meant by this is not change, which is a momentary effect and the sudden and total change that people of human development talk about.
Therefore, the Sheikh has linked you to God. You change to be good for God.. and not good to achieve fleeting gains or simple goals. So if you are for him as he wants, he will have what you want.
And beware of leaving this change to fate, because it may bring you undesirable consequences. It may bring you illness and allow you to abandon a negative habit that has taken control of your heart, mind and soul. the injustice that happens to you so that you flee to God and reconcile with your Lord.. And it may come to you to lose a dear person to reconsider your calculations..
Surprise:
Here the Sheikh surprised the audience with a very creative artistic capsule, where a person (who had previously arranged this creative theatrical artistic work with the Sheikh) spoke with the voice of his conscience… as if he were speaking in the language of the audience, and he said:
Yes, I want to change… but how? Have you always tried and failed? Can I be better than I am now? Or will you tell me what others say? I’m sick of this talk.
And here this voice (whose owner did not appear) began a dialogue with the Sheikh… and it was a dialogue in which the Sheikh summarized the reasons for his resistance to change…
Obstacles to change:
Then the Sheikh continued his speech on the obstacles to change, mentioning seven obstacles that prevent a person from changing:
Common addiction.
Inability to change.
Lack of goals.
Ignorance of the method of change.
Not knowing the priority of change.
Fear of losing existing false privileges.
Inability to get out of comfort zone.
He excelled and benefited, may God protect him, by dismantling and dissecting these obstacles with the scalpel of the experience he accumulated from contact with people who turned to him for consultation, a complaint or psychological relief… and with the projector of the light of faith. How could it be otherwise, since he is a sheikh who teaches you the secrets and colors of the soul.
Change what is inside you, change what is around you:
Then the Sheikh placed these two verses on the wall using a projector:
“This is because God will never change a blessing that He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in themselves: 53.”
“God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.” Al-Ra’ad: 11
He considered – may God protect him – that changing the exterior is nothing other than changing a set of inner beliefs and perceptions, especially by learning the five emotional psychological areas, which are:
Area of consideration
Sector of interest
Pride Zone
Illusion Zone
Comfort zone
God will not change what is around you until the person reorganizes these areas with awareness, faith and education.
How to achieve change?
After His Eminence established the rules and basic elements of change, he entered into the main topic: How to achieve change?
Suddenly, this phone burst into the room and interrupted the audience’s attention… And here the sheikh will summarize the entire session with this artistic capsule… And this phone, whose owner has not yet appeared, says:
Yes, yes.. beautiful words.. I want to change.. but I’m afraid! I’m afraid! I can’t! I’ll definitely fail! I’ve tried many times!
And behold, the sheikh asked this telephone to appear and announce itself. A pale-faced man came out, carrying on his back a large black bundle that arched its back, and dragging a large sack. His prey was trembling with fear.. and he was wearing a black cloak..
So he advanced towards the wood, as if tearing the ground with fatigue and slowness… to the great astonishment and wonder of the audience… until he reached the wood on which the sheikh was standing…
The Sheikh helped him onto the stage, indicating the importance of the role of the teacher in the life of the seeker of his truth. The teacher is the assistant and the mirror.
When this person (who played this role was the brilliant and creative playwright Moaz Al-Shabaki) came up to the podium, the Sheikh asked him:
Why are you afraid of change??
He said: I’m afraid of… (and he started looking left and right) ?? I don’t know!!
I’m afraid of people’s looks!!
But I’m afraid of everything!!
The Sheikh said to him: What are you carrying on your back that is weighing you down?!!
He said: I don’t know!! (He turned around) Yes… yes… it was fear that made me tired and made the earth uncomfortable… Oh my God, how heavy and painful it is…
The Sheikh said to him: What is this big bag that you are dragging behind you?!!
He said: This is the bag of abandoned things!!
The Sheikh said: The abandoned ones?!!
He said: Yes.. I leave things.. and keep them company, maybe I’ll need them one day!!
The Sheikh said: Why are you carrying all this weight with you? Lighten your burden so that I can help you.
He said (pleadingly): Can you help me?!! Can you make me change and live a good life?!!
The Sheikh said: Yes, if God wills… but you must contract things and end your relations with things.
He said: How?!!
The Sheikh says: First of all, take this weight off your shoulders… and let go of this fear that has made you tired and exhausted.
(Then the sheikh unpacked for him the bundle he was carrying on his back..)
He said: Oh my God, how relieved I am now…how heavy it was…but you carried it with ease…isn’t it heavy?!!
The Sheikh said: No… it is not heavy… but it is you who thought it was heavy… so beware of carrying it again… and contract yourself with trust in God… and certainty in God… and satisfaction from God… and I hope for what is in my hand. God.
Now let’s open this strange bag (The Sheikh opened the bag and took out a pair of medical glasses) and said to him: What is this?!! Did you leave your glasses in your garbage bag?!!
He says: I don’t need to look anymore… everything is dull… everything around me is dark!!
The Sheikh said: Rather put on the glasses of wisdom to see what things mean (so he put on the glasses… and he was very happy)
He said: I see well now… and I see clearly… Praise God, Lord!!
The sheikh took a watch out of his bag and said to him: What is this?!! You abandoned your watch that organizes your time??!!
He said: What should I do with time if the schedules are the same? It has no value to me!!
The Sheikh said: Time is your capital… And we do not die when the soul leaves us… Rather, we die when our days are similar… and nothing increases except weight and age… O man, organize your time to live… and he who wastes his time is dead, even if he circulates among the living.. (The Sheikh dressed him with a wristwatch)
Then the Sheikh took the prayer mat out of the bag… and said to him in astonishment: What is this?!! Do you put the prayer in your bag of renunciation?!!
He said: This is my mat on which I used to perform evening prayers!!
The Sheikh said: Resume the evening prayer, for it is your light in the darkness of misfortunes, challenges and troubles.
This person said: Yes, I will contract with all that, but…!!
The Sheikh said to him: Before continuing… Why do you wear this dark state… This black coat… which makes you pessimistic, sad and weak… Take off this coat!!
The Sheikh dressed him in a beautiful coat that he had taken out of the bag of renounced clothes and said to him: Dress yourself in this luminous state… for it contains joy and optimism.
This person was happy and decided to leave, so the Sheikh told him: Slow down!! Take this package and this black coat with you… but put them in your garbage bag… and don’t forget… that I only reorganized your life and didn’t add anything to you…
Your cure is in you and in what you feel…and your disease is in you and in what you see
This wonderful capsule ended and the room was filled with warm applause.
Some reasons for the change:
The Sheikh continued his discussion and added that the success of change in your life depends on the following:
Sincere Desire: You must have change in the area of consideration we have discussed above.
The firm decision: the one that does not let itself be discouraged by anything… and does not let itself be discouraged by any matter…
Recognize the existence of blocking flaws: these are the flaws that exist in your personality and which prevent you from changing.
The prophetic recipe for change: based on ease, progressiveness and flexibility.
Concluding these points, he said:
“All this can only be achieved if a person leaves the comfort zone. To reduce the control of the comfort zone, new positive habits must be introduced to oust the daily routine. A person can only succeed in establishing these positive habits by contracting with their meanings.”
How to manage change:
His Eminence concluded this session with the last theme, namely how to manage change. He considered that a successful change consists of a solid plan whose elements are as follows:
An exercise in change:
He then presented a series of questions specific to change:
– What do you think you should change in your life?
-What are the things that made you the person you are today?
-Do you think that at this stage of your life it is time to get a promotion or not yet?
-When was the last time you felt like you had changed for the better?
The gist and the essence of the speech:
In conclusion, I say: how much we need this insightful and sober knowledge, whose source is the Holy Quran, and its teacher is a sheikh for whom God has combined correct knowledge and a clear state… These benefits and unique things are necessary for every human being to achieve the good life and a comfortable life. This is the religious discourse that we need now… A discourse that benefits, helps, guides and guides… May God reward His Eminence Sheikh Yassin Al-Wazzani for this wonderful, useful and creative session, and may God place it in the balance of his good deeds.
