HIBAPRESS
A weekly market near the city of Meknes witnessed a state of chaos and a great rush for Eid sacrifices, just two days before Eid al-Adha.
A video circulating on social media documented moments of citizens pushing and scrambling around a "pickup" truck loaded with a number of sheep. According to eyewitness accounts, the panic that gripped a number of citizens came as a result of the sudden disappearance of sacrifices inside the market, which prompted many of them to race to ensure the purchase of the sacrifice before it ran out, especially with the approach of Eid and the increase in demand. It is worth noting that the official data previously announced by the relevant ministry confirmed that the national supply of sacrifices exceeds the volume of demand, with sufficient numbers to cover the needs of citizens during Eid al-Adha.
