A content creator known as "Ibn Al-Nassas" sparked widespread controversy on social media, after he posted a video on his YouTube channel, in which he documented scenes in which he said he sacrificed a dog he found dead, because the prices of livestock are high.
The video sparked a wave of condemnation among a number of activists and pioneers of digital platforms, who considered that the content included an insult and an insult to the ritual of Eid al-Adha, by linking the cooking of a dead dog to one of the greatest religious rituals in Islam, which was considered a provocation to the feelings of a wide segment of followers.
