Tariq Al-Saktiwi’s statement before the match between Morocco and Egypt

Tarek Sektioui, coach of the Moroccan Olympic football team, affirmed his players’ determination to win their match against the Egyptian team on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in order to return to Morocco crowned with a bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

Tarek Al-Saktiwi said in his statements on the university’s official website: “I consider tomorrow’s match as a tribute to the great efforts of all our components, and we dreamed of making Moroccans happy and reaching the final.”

The coach of the Moroccan Olympic team continued: “We have to manage this psychologically. There was a failure that left frustration, and we have to turn it into a strength in the next match.

The same speaker added: “We had to play a match after the defeat against Spain, and facing Egypt will be the key to overcoming the defeat, and we seek to return with a medal that recognizes the efforts and so that the work is not in vain.”

Tariq Al-Saktiwi stressed that the match against the Egyptian national team will not be easy, given that the opponent is strong and stubborn, and that the matches between the two teams always have a special character and are distinguished by a great rivalry.

On Wednesday, the Moroccan national team held a second and final training session, under the supervision of coach Tarek Sektiwi, in preparation for facing the Egyptian national team.

The Moroccan Olympic team will face its Egyptian counterpart tomorrow, Thursday, to determine the winner of the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games, starting at 4 p.m., on the court of the “La Beaujoire” stadium in the city of Nantes.
