HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
In a political move that is reshaping the party map in the Eastern region, the parliamentary representative and member of the National Council of the National Rally of Independents party, Mohamed Houar, officially resigned from the party and all its affiliated and organizational bodies, both central and local.
This resignation, dated September 2, 2020, was submitted via a letter from "Houar" to the party leader in Rabat, in which he announced his relinquishment of all his elected responsibilities, in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law No. 29.11 concerning political parties, particularly Article 22 thereof.
The political messages accompanying this decision were not delayed; the resigned parliamentarian appeared yesterday, Thursday, September 3, 2020, in the front rows during the regional communication meeting organized by the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in the city of Berkane.
The meeting witnessed large crowds in the presence of the influential leader in the party, Fouzi Lekjaa, alongside Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, the national coordinator, and prominent leaders; which observers of the political scene in the region considered a clear indication and on-the-ground confirmation of Houar's imminent official joining of the "Tractor" party.
Observers believe that "Houar's" move and the deployment of his political and electoral weight alongside the Authenticity and Modernity Party ahead of the upcoming elections is a strong organizational blow to the "Dove Party" in the Eastern region, opening the door for transformations and a reshuffling of political cards in the region in the coming days.
