The absence of the chief physician from the health center in the urban hub affiliated with the Ain Cheggag commune in the Moulay Yaacoub province, during the summer holiday period, has raised concerns among a number of residents who rely on the institution for basic healthcare services.
Citizens expressed their fears about the impact of the absence of medical staff on the continuity of services, demanding the provision of a minimum level of health coverage and not leaving patients without an alternative during holiday periods.
These demands coincide with the urban and population expansion that the region is experiencing, which, according to residents, increases the need to develop public facilities and strengthen human resources in health centers to meet the growing demand.
Local activists called on the competent authorities to intervene to address the situation and ensure the continuity of medical services at the center, allowing residents of the area to benefit from basic healthcare in appropriate conditions.
