Security services in the city of Ait Melloul managed, on Friday evening, to arrest a suspect believed to be involved in a case related to luring two women and sexually assaulting them, in addition to robbery under threat.
According to available information, the two victims filed a complaint stating that the suspect lured them using a ride-hailing service via an electronic application, before taking them to an isolated place on the outskirts of the city, where it is suspected that he threatened them with a bladed weapon, assaulted them, and stole some of their belongings.
Investigations and inquiries initiated by the security services led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, before he was subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution.
Investigations are ongoing to reveal all the circumstances and details of the case, and to identify the actions attributed to the detainee, pending the results of the investigation and judicial procedures.
