The province of Sefrou witnessed, last Saturday, the ceremonies of distributing a royal gift to the caretakers of the shrines of the two righteous saints, Sidi Lahcen Lyoussi and Sidi Ali Bousserghin, in a spiritual atmosphere filled with appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The royal gift distribution ceremony took place in the presence of the Governor of Sefrou province, alongside a number of officials, elected representatives, and local figures, as well as the caretakers of the shrines and the notables and descendants of the region.
These ceremonies began at the shrine of Sidi Lahcen Lyoussi, where the royal gift was handed over in an atmosphere of tranquility and reverence, before continuing at the headquarters of the shrine of Sidi Ali Bousserghin, amidst the presence of many local figures.
This initiative falls within the framework of the King's noble care for the religious and spiritual heritage of the Kingdom, and the attention given to shrines, zawiyas, and religious sites, as they are part of the spiritual and cultural memory of Moroccan society.
The beneficiaries of the royal gift expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, affirming that this royal gesture embodies the continuous care that His Majesty devotes to scholars, guardians, and caretakers of religious institutions, and to the deeply rooted spiritual heritage in various regions of the Kingdom.
This occasion holds special importance for the city of Sefrou, given the historical and spiritual status occupied by the shrine of Sidi Lahcen Lyoussi and the shrine of Sidi Ali Bousserghin, and what they represent as an authentic part of the religious and cultural memory of the region.
