HIBAPRESS – Khémisset
The territorial detachment of the Royal Gendarmerie in Ar-Ramani, within the province of Khémisset, successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of involvement in a theft targeting a mobile phone store in the Qasariya area, following three days of investigation and inquiries.
According to available information, the suspects resorted to cutting the electricity supply to several commercial establishments in the area during the execution of the operation, in an attempt to disable surveillance cameras and facilitate access to the targeted store to seize its contents.
The same sources indicated that field research and investigations conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie elements led to the identification of the suspects, before they were arrested and subjected to the applicable legal procedures.
The security operation also resulted in the recovery of the suspected stolen mobile phones, which were seized for the purposes of the investigation.
The detainees have been placed under police custody, by order of the competent public prosecution, pending the completion of the investigation to uncover all the circumstances of the case, determine their extent of involvement in the attributed acts, and verify the existence of any potential accomplices.
This operation comes within the framework of the security efforts undertaken by the Royal Gendarmerie services in Ar-Ramani to combat theft and assaults on property, and to enhance the security and safety of citizens and merchants in the region.
