A film director has arrived in the Isaken region, belonging to the Al Hoceima province, in preparation for shooting a new cinematic work that addresses the topic of cannabis (kif), by shedding light on the various stages of its journey, from cultivation and processing to smuggling and export.
The production team chose the mountains of Isaken and the surrounding areas as a setting to film a number of scenes, given the nature of the region and its terrain, which intersects with the theme and general atmosphere of the work.
The film is expected to focus on the aspects related to the cultivation of cannabis and its transformations through different stages, while presenting a cinematic image of the region, its inhabitants, and the social and economic conditions associated with this activity.
The choice of Isaken to shoot this work aims to bring the region back to the forefront of cinematic interest, taking advantage of the specificity of its mountainous nature and its visual qualifications, which offer suitable spaces for film productions.
