The Royal Gendarmerie elements at the territorial center of Sidi Bibi, in the province of Ait Baha, managed to thwart an activity suspected of being linked to the manufacture of "Mahia" alcohol, during a security operation targeting a site in the Takad village.
The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 3 tons of "Mahia," along with quantities of fermented materials and equipment and tools used in the manufacturing process, including barrels, gas cylinders, pressure cookers, and raw materials.
Investigations and inquiries conducted in the case led to the identification of an individual suspected of involvement in this activity, who was found to be the subject of a national wanted notice.
Investigations are continuing under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to uncover all the circumstances of the case and identify any other potential individuals involved in this activity.
