A woman was killed in a tragic traffic accident that occurred on Saturday morning, September 12, 2026, on National Road No. 8, at the level of the Palm Tree roundabout in the Oulad Teima municipality, under the province of Fez.
According to initial available data, the accident occurred when a large-type Nissan taxi, coming from the city of Fez towards Immouzer Kandar, collided with the woman while she was on the road, resulting in her sustaining serious injuries.
Despite the severity of her injuries, the victim died at the scene due to her wounds, in an accident that caused a state of alert in the vicinity of the incident.
Upon being notified, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities rushed to the scene of the accident, where traffic was secured and necessary measures were taken, before the victim's body was transported to the morgue.
Concurrently, an investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to determine the circumstances and details of the accident and assign legal responsibilities, according to the findings of the investigations and established procedures.
