The General Directorate of Meteorology expects to record thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind on Friday and Saturday, and hot weather with strong gusts of wind on Saturday and Sunday in several regions of the Kingdom.
The directorate explained, in an orange-level alert bulletin, that thunderstorms (15 to 25 mm) are expected, accompanied by hail and gusts of wind, on Friday from noon until 11 PM in the provinces and prefectures of Tinghir, Errachidia, Midelt, and Ouarzazate, and (30 to 40 mm) on Saturday from 11 AM until 11 PM in the provinces and prefectures of Figuig, Jerada, Errachidia, Midelt, Boulemane, and Tinghir.
Hot weather is also expected on Saturday and Sunday, with temperatures ranging between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, in the provinces and prefectures of Kénitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, and Khémisset.
According to the same source, strong gusts of wind (75 to 85 km/h) will be recorded on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces and prefectures of Tangier-Assilah and Fahs-Anjra.
