Aareed neighborhood in the city of Nador witnessed a security operation last Saturday night that resulted in the arrest of two individuals. The operation was carried out by the Regional Judicial Police Force, with support from the Regional Intervention Brigade (BRI), in connection with a case suspected of being linked to the trafficking of hard drugs.
According to available information, the main suspect, aged 21, was the subject of 30 national search warrants for suspected involvement in cases related to the trafficking of hard drugs. This made him the focus of the security intervention that targeted a house in Aareed neighborhood.
The search conducted during the operation resulted in the seizure of a collection of mobile phones, a large-sized canister of tear gas, and five license plates for vehicles. These seized items are currently under investigation to determine their nature and their connection to the case.
The security operation also led to the arrest of a second individual who was accompanying the main suspect at the time of the intervention. The arrested individuals were taken to complete the necessary legal procedures, pending the outcome of investigations into the circumstances of the incident.
The two arrested individuals have been placed under police custody, at the disposal of the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, with the aim of uncovering all details of the case and identifying the actions attributed to each of them, while respecting the presumption of innocence until guilt is proven.
