The citizen, identified as A.Q., from the city of Casablanca, has complained about being denied a medical appointment at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center, despite needing continuous medical follow-up.
The complainant, in communication with HIBAPRESS newspaper, explained that he went to the hospital to get an appointment, but received a response stating that no appointments were available. He added that he was informed that obtaining an appointment might require the assistance of someone working inside the hospital or knowing an employee there.
The concerned individual, in his complaint, raised questions about the transparency of managing medical appointments and the equal opportunities for patients, considering that obtaining an appointment should be done through clear and fair procedures, without the need for connections or intermediaries.
The complainant requested shedding light on the conditions for obtaining appointments at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center, and verifying the extent to which the principles of transparency and equality are respected in their management, calling for the guarantee of patients' right to access healthcare services and preserve their dignity.
The concerned individual suffers, according to the results of the medical diagnosis he underwent on September 23rd at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center, from hearing loss, balance disorders, vision impairment, severe motor deficiency, as well as Neurofibromatosis Type 2, accompanied by tumors in the brain and spinal cord.
The medical document includes a recommendation for an MRI scan of the spinal cord as part of monitoring the progression of his health condition, which he has been unable to obtain, as confirmed in his communication with the newspaper.
