HIBAPRESS – Tangier
In recent days, residents of several neighborhoods in Tangier have increasingly complained about the spread of mosquitoes and flies, amid calls for the intervention of the competent authorities. This is particularly relevant as warm weather continues and the insects cause significant nuisance, especially in the evenings.
Local complaints published today spoke of a noticeable presence of insects around some homes and residential areas, with demands to intensify spraying and control operations, especially in areas that may have conditions conducive to their reproduction.
Some residents attribute the spread of these insects to the presence of stagnant water points or accumulated waste, demanding that these places be treated and cleaned regularly to curb the phenomenon.
In the absence of official data specifying the extent of insect spread or the most affected areas, residents are calling for field intervention that includes control operations, cleaning of black spots, and monitoring of water accumulation sites.
