Consolidating the values of solidarity and cooperation, and embodying the social and humanitarian dimension in the activities of the Al Hoceima Local Scientific Council, the esteemed President of the Local Scientific Council visited on Wednesday evening, September 16, 2026, for a visit of warmth and support to the SOS Children's Village in the municipality of Imzouren, in coordination with the institution's management.
The visit was attended by the Council Secretary, the Coordinator of the Communication and Social Work Committee, and the female members of the Women's Affairs and Family Issues Unit affiliated with the Council. The occasion provided an opportunity to explore the institution's various facilities and to gain a close understanding of its working conditions and the services it offers for children.
During this visit, viewpoints were exchanged on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Local Scientific Council and the SOS Children's Village, within the scope of available competencies and capabilities, in a manner that serves the social, educational, and humanitarian goals of the institution.
At the end of the visit, the Local Scientific Council initiated the distribution of a set of blankets for the village's children, in a solidarity initiative aimed at contributing to meeting some of their needs and bringing joy to their hearts.
The visit concluded with prayers for His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, his noble royal family, and all Muslims.
This initiative was met with appreciation and welcome from the director of the SOS Children's Village and the educational and service staff working at the institution, who expressed their gratitude for this humanitarian and social gesture.
In this context, expressions of thanks and appreciation were directed to the management of the SOS Children's Village in Imzouren for their warm reception, welcome, and generous hospitality, and for their continuous efforts in caring for and accompanying the children.
