HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Baraka
The health professional Tawfiq Tikouk, the candidate for the Popular Movement party in the Taroudant South constituency, is contesting the legislative elections scheduled for September 23rd, relying on field experience in local work and advocating for the residents' issues, alongside his presence within the Kerdan Municipal Council. His name has been associated with local development files and the defense of demands related to basic services, foremost among them the health sector.
This experience gives him a close understanding of citizens' concerns, especially in the Greater Kerdan area and its surroundings.
Tikouk places social and developmental files and direct engagement with citizens at the core of his election campaign, at a time when the Taroudant South constituency is experiencing strong and pluralistic competition among a number of parties and candidates.
This dynamic comes in a context where the Popular Movement seeks to expand its electoral presence in the region, while other parties are betting on their organizational experience and their management of local affairs.
The movements of the "Spike" party's candidate in the Taroudant constituency continue to attract the attention of observers, especially as candidate Tikouk aims to restore the party's past glory in the region, particularly after the party managed local affairs in the largest municipality in the region, Oulad Teima. However, the actual balance of power remains subject to what the ballot boxes will reveal on September 23rd, in an election that includes 395 seats in the House of Representatives nationwide.
