The Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tangier has announced the opening of a judicial investigation following the incident of arresting an individual in a square of an educational institution in the city of Tangier, where a polling station is located, who was found possessing a bag containing electoral papers.
The King's Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Tangier clarified in a statement that the Public Prosecution ordered the opening of a judicial investigation into the matter, and the concerned individual has been arrested as necessary for the investigation.
The statement added that investigations are still ongoing to ascertain the truth and circumstances of the incident, and to determine the nature of the seized electoral papers and the conditions of their possession.
The King's Prosecutor affirmed that, immediately upon the completion of the investigations, the appropriate legal action will be taken in light of the results of the judicial investigation.
