The collective leadership of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) issued a clarifying statement in light of what it described as developments accompanying the electoral process at the polling station in the Tangier-Medina electoral district, and the subsequent circulation of videos and data across several social media platforms.
The collective leadership of the party stated that it is following with full attention and astonishment the malicious and fabricated campaign that accompanied the electoral process at the polling station in the Tangier-Medina electoral district, and the subsequent promotion of videos and data through some social media platforms. In light of these developments, the party's collective leadership announced to the national and local public its categorical rejection of the conspiracy and targeting, and affirms that what was witnessed in some offices in the city of Tangier is nothing more than a concocted scenario and a blatant attempt to disrupt and target the Authenticity and Modernity Party. We consider it a political conspiracy led by some parties that were unsettled by the strong presence of the party and the increasing trust of citizens in its program.
The party added that the political and organizational fear among opponents of the party's position and results has led these parties to adopt low tactics aimed at distorting the image of the party and its activists, and unethical pre-emptive actions to influence the democratic process. The party continued, while invoking its national and constitutional responsibility, to fully and absolutely support the opening of a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to ascertain all the circumstances of the incident, and to uncover the parties behind this plan to promote false and malicious claims. It reiterated its full confidence in the state's institutions, the judicial authorities, and strict adherence to the laws governing the electoral process, and reserves its full right to legal action against anyone who contributed to distorting its image or harming its activists and candidates.
