HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the voting process, with the exception of very isolated cases concerning a limited number of polling stations, proceeded under normal conditions throughout all regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry stated in a press release that immediately after the end of voting, polling stations began the process of sorting and counting votes in a positive atmosphere and in the presence of representatives of the candidate lists.
This process in the first stage concerns the election at the local electoral district level, and in the second stage, the election at the regional electoral district level.
According to the statement, polling stations, immediately after completing their tasks, will deliver the election operation records they have prepared to the central offices, in order to enable the latter to count the votes obtained by the candidate lists in their respective electoral districts.
Regarding the determination of the referendum results and the announcement of the names of the winning candidates, the counting committees, headed by male and female judges, will count the votes, determine the referendum results, and announce the names of the winning candidates based on the records of the central offices established for the local electoral districts and the records of the regional counting committees for the regional electoral districts.
