Yassine Oukacha, candidate for the National Rally of Independents party in the Benslimane constituency, managed to top the legislative election results at the local Benslimane constituency level, having secured 11,887 votes. He was followed by the Authenticity and Modernity Party candidate with a total of 7,631 votes. The Independence Party minister, Ryad Mezzour, came in third with 7,485 votes.
Oukacha's leading position came after a strong electoral competition witnessed in the Benslimane constituency, which was a focal point during the election campaign given the caliber of the competing candidates for its seats, especially the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour.
With this result, Oukacha, a member of the Political Bureau of the National Rally of Independents party, succeeded in maintaining his electoral presence in the constituency and strengthening his position compared to previous elections, where he had come in second in the 2021 legislative elections.
It is worth mentioning that Yassine Oukacha is among the young leaders of the party on whom bets are placed, as he held the presidency of the party's bloc in the House of Representatives.
