This Thursday morning, Mounir Lemouri, the mayor of Tangier and a member of the Political Bureau of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, was presented before the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Tangier, following the end of the additional period of police custody he was subjected to in connection with the ongoing investigations into the case of electoral documents seized at the voting center in Al-Quds School.
According to available information, Lemouri was transferred from the Tangier Police Headquarters to the Court of Appeal, after the completion of the investigations initiated by the security services regarding the case, in preparation for his presentation before the competent Public Prosecution.
The Public Prosecution is expected to take the appropriate legal decision regarding the status of the mayor of Tangier, in light of the results of the conducted investigations and the data collected during the period of police custody.
