HIBAPRESS has received an official statement from the Youth Forum for Development Association – Nador branch, expressing its deep surprise at the decision to exclude it from continuing its participation in the "BUNYAN" program, after it had previously been selected among the beneficiary associations at the level of the Eastern region.
The same source clarified that the association's representative, Mr. Ayman Mokhtari, actively participated in the program's first camp organized in the city of Oujda on September 8th and 9th, 2026, before receiving a sudden call from the Nador Provincial Directorate inviting him to an emergency meeting on Wednesday at 3 PM.
Based on the provincial authorities' summons, the association's representative was forced to leave the camp after informing the officials in advance, only to be surprised on September 24th, 2026, by the decision to permanently exclude him from the program. This prompted the branch to question whether this exclusion was related to his attendance at the provincial meeting or to his exercise of his political and institutional rights.
The association affirmed in its document that it does not demand any privilege or special treatment, but rather calls for the consolidation of principles of clarity, transparency, and respect for the criteria adopted in selecting and testing beneficiary associations, to ensure their continued work in serving youth and local development and strengthening the capacities of civil society actors.
In conclusion, the Youth Forum for Development Association – Nador branch demanded that the authorities supervising the "BUNYAN" program provide a formal clarification regarding the reasons for its exclusion, in order to preserve the transparency and presumed trust between programs supporting civil society and the associations that benefit from them.
