Trade exchanges between Morocco and Spain continued their growth during the current year, reaching high levels that reflect the continued dynamism in the economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
According to data for July, the value of Spanish exports to Morocco reached approximately 1.159 billion euros, an annual increase of 2.8 percent, a record level for Spanish exports during this month. In contrast, Spanish imports from Morocco amounted to about 816.3 million euros, an increase of 2.5 percent compared to July of last year. The development of trade led to an increase in the Spanish trade surplus with Morocco to approximately 342.9 million euros in July, compared to 330.9 million euros during the same month of 2025. Total trade exchanges between the two countries in July exceeded 1.98 billion euros, reflecting the continued growth of bilateral trade.
During the first seven months of the year, Spanish exports to Morocco reached about 7.58 billion euros, an annual increase of 3.4 percent, while Spanish imports from Morocco amounted to about 6.61 billion euros, a growth of 3.9 percent. Thus, the Spanish trade surplus with Morocco during the same period reached about 967.9 million euros, while total trade exchanges between the two countries exceeded 14.19 billion euros.
These figures highlight the growing importance of the Moroccan market for Spanish foreign trade, as Morocco maintained its position in July among the top destinations for Spanish exports outside the European Union, with a share of 3.3 percent of total exports, behind the United Kingdom and the United States. At the African level, Morocco accounted for approximately 54.4 percent of total Spanish exports to the continent in July, which were valued at about 2.13 billion euros.
These indicators reflect the continued growth of trade exchanges between Rabat and Madrid, in light of the increasing economic ties between the two countries and the expansion of bilateral trade volume in recent years.
