The deadline for submitting candidacies for the presidency of Ait Qamra commune in the Al Hoceima province closed today, Friday, October 2nd, after the registration of three official candidacies. The election of the new president is scheduled to take place during a session planned for Thursday, October 8th.
These candidacies are from Najma Amzghar, who applied to run on behalf of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) after moving from the National Rally of Independents (RNI), alongside Seddik Asrih, candidate of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP), and Ismail Belhoussine, candidate of the National Rally of Independents (RNI).
With the expiry of the legal deadlines for submitting candidacies, the competition for the presidency of Ait Qamra commune has stabilized among three names, each representing a different political party, opening the door for an electoral session that is expected to garner local attention.
The session to elect the commune president is expected to take place on Thursday, October 8th, in the presence of the members of the communal council, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force for the election of presidents of communal councils.
