HIBAPRESS – Yassine Ben Ramadan
On Friday evening, October 2, 2026, a consultative meeting was held at the headquarters of the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Jirisf to discuss the reality and prospects of the new authentic education and ways to support and establish it in the educational institutions of the province, at the request of a number of civil society activists.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Oriental Center for Studies and Research, the Furqan Association for the Memorization of the Holy Quran, the Social Works Foundation for Education, the Hands of Good Association for Development and Cooperation, and the Care Association for Development and Sponsorship of Orphans. The meeting was chaired by Mohammed Qadi, Head of the Institution Mentoring and Guidance Department, on behalf of the Provincial Director, in the presence of Riyad Manasib, Head of the Legal Affairs and Communication Department, and Hassan El Makawi, Head of the School Incidents Office.
The meeting was an opportunity to commend the establishment of two authentic education departments at the ministerial level, as well as to praise the efforts made by the Provincial Directorate in this field, before addressing the reality of the new authentic education in the province. It was noted that more work is needed to strengthen its presence and expand its benefit, compared to what is established in a number of directorates affiliated with the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Oriental region.
The participants discussed a number of proposals aimed at supporting this educational component, including strengthening communication with parents and introducing the importance of authentic education in instilling moral values in learners and developing their skills and abilities, as well as expanding its offering to include other educational institutions in strategic locations in the city, including Omar Ibn Al Khattab and Ibn Battuta schools.
The discussion also focused on the difficulties facing the new authentic education, especially those related to the "Massar" system, in addition to discussing ways to encourage families to enroll their children in this component, which the participants indicated is framed within the National Charter for Education and Training and the framework document 51.17, as well as a number of official circulars organizing it.
The attendees expressed their support for the measures taken by the Provincial Directorate in Jirisf to promote the new authentic education, affirming their readiness to contribute to the success of various initiatives aimed at its development.
At the end of the meeting, the meeting chairman stressed the Provincial Directorate's commitment to continue working towards the establishment of the new authentic education by adopting a participatory approach based on dialogue, consultation, and continuous communication with various partners, whether at the level of the Provincial Directorate or the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Oriental region, which contributes to improving the quality of education and strengthening its educational and value-based roles.
