HIBAPRESS – Taza
A serious traffic accident occurred on the highway connecting Oulad Amlil and Tahla, in the direction of Taza, this Sunday evening, when a truck collided with a light vehicle, resulting in the injury of four people who were on board, according to initial available data.
According to the same data, the truck driver did not notice the traffic sign for roadworks, which led to the truck swerving and falling onto the light vehicle, causing serious injuries to its passengers, as well as temporarily halting traffic on this section of the road.
Upon being notified of the accident, Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection elements rushed to the scene, where the injured were transported by ambulance to Ibn Baja Hospital in the city of Taza to receive necessary treatment.
This accident comes at a time when the Moroccan National Highway Company had previously urged road users to exercise caution, coinciding with the end of the school holidays and the heavy traffic experienced during this period.
