HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Hicham Ait Mna, President of the Mohammedia Municipal Council, stated that the council has stopped the use of gasoil vouchers and service cars allocated to the council's deputies, confirming that manifestations of waste are no longer present within the council.
Ait Mna explained, during his intervention in the October session of the Mohammedia Municipal Council, which witnessed sharp debates and disagreements between the council president and a number of opposition members, that the council has taken measures to limit expenditures related to transportation and fuel.
Ait Mna said in a colloquial dialect during his intervention: "I stopped the gasoil vouchers and service cars for all the deputies of the Mohammedia Council," adding: "All that waste is no longer here in the council."
The council president's statements come amid a broad debate during the October session on the management of resources and capabilities within the commune, amidst criticism from the opposition regarding several aspects of local affairs management, in contrast to Ait Mna's emphasis on the council's direction towards rationalizing expenditures and putting an end to what he considers manifestations of waste.
