The residents of Sidi Ben Slimane Al-Jazouli Qaa Al-Souar are suffering from a daily and continuous danger that threatens their safety and the safety of their children, due to fallen electrical poles and wires lying on the ground adjacent to their homes and the road that residents habitually use for their travel.
A visit by the newspaper to the scene revealed that the wires are scattered on the ground randomly next to the walls of a number of houses, which doubles the probability of serious accidents, especially with climate change and the presence of vegetation that may contribute to multiplying the danger.
The residents confirmed in a meeting with the newspaper that this worrying and miserable situation has continued for about two years, emphasizing that the Sidi Ben Slimane Al-Jazouli Qaa Al-Souar neighborhood has not seen any significant intervention from the specialized technical authorities to repair these faults and re-secure the poles in their correct places to avoid any potential disaster.
The residents pointed out that the scene of these wires extending through the neighborhood and along the sides of the road reflects a state of marginalization affecting the infrastructure in Sidi Ben Slimane Al-Jazouli Qaa Al-Souar, demanding that the concerned authorities take swift and effective action to remove this grave harm and protect citizens' lives before something regrettable happens, in their words.
