HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
As part of efforts to ensure the continuity of traffic and mitigate the repercussions of weather fluctuations, the Directorate of Equipment in the province of Boulemane continues its field interventions to address the damages that have affected the road linking Skoura and Al Mers, following the thunderstorms that the region has witnessed.
The floods caused the erosion of large quantities of soil and the falling of rocks on sections of the road, which affected the mobility conditions and increased the level of difficulty faced by users of this road axis, especially in light of the continued weather fluctuations experienced by the region.
Technical teams from the Equipment Directorate are working to intervene to remove accumulated soil and rocks, and to rehabilitate the damaged sections to allow for the restoration of traffic under safer conditions, while ensuring continued field mobilization to deal with various damages that may result from rainfall.
This intervention is of particular importance given the role of the road linking Skoura and Al Mers in facilitating citizens' movement and connecting neighboring areas, especially during periods of weather disturbances that affect road infrastructure.
These developments highlight the importance of continued vigilance and rapid intervention by the relevant authorities, in order to limit the impacts of floods on traffic and ensure the safety of road users, while calling on drivers to exercise caution and care, and to respect safety instructions, especially in sections that may remain exposed to erosion or falling rocks.
The continuation of field mobilization and coordination between the various interveners remains a key factor in confronting the effects of weather fluctuations, ensuring the de-isolation of affected areas and maintaining smooth mobility in the province of Boulemane.
