Security services at Al Massira Airport in Agadir have arrested a woman suspected of involvement in exploiting a massage and medical rehabilitation center in Ouarzazate in activities related to prostitution and human trafficking, after a national search warrant was issued against her, as part of an investigation supervised by the competent public prosecution.
The details of the case go back to investigations initiated by the competent authorities regarding a center suspected of being used as a front for practicing prostitution without the necessary legal licenses.
A security operation carried out by the Regional Judicial Police Service in Ouarzazate resulted in the arrest of the assistant to the owner of the center and the apprehension of a client in the act, as well as the confiscation of a number of medical condoms.
Initial investigations revealed suspicions of exploiting employees in illegal activities in exchange for financial sums, with the main supervisor retaining the largest portion of the proceeds, according to the information related to the case.
Statements from some employees also indicated that they were going through difficult social and economic circumstances, while the arrested assistant is suspected of managing the activity under investigation.
Based on the investigation results, it was decided to prosecute the assistant while in detention on suspicion of involvement in cases related to human trafficking and operating a prostitution establishment. The owner of the center was arrested at Al Massira Airport in Agadir while preparing to leave the national territory for France, before being transferred to the headquarters of the Judicial Police in Ouarzazate for further investigation to be presented before the Public Prosecution.
Available data indicates that the owner of the center was previously prosecuted in 2023 in a similar case and received a sentence of eight months imprisonment and a fine of five thousand dirhams. Investigations are ongoing to uncover all circumstances of the case and determine potential responsibilities.
