The anti-gang unit of the Regional Judicial Police Service at the Dakhla Regional Security Directorate, based on precise information provided by the General Directorate of National Territory Surveillance, has apprehended two individuals, aged 19 and 23, suspected of involvement in a case related to drug possession and trafficking. One of them was found to have a criminal record.
According to available data, the suspects were successively arrested in the Al-Salam neighborhood of Dakhla city, suspected of involvement in drug trafficking. Subsequent searches conducted in their residences, with the assistance of trained police dogs, led to the seizure of approximately 26.5 kilograms of hashish and 12.7 grams of cocaine.
The searches also resulted in the confiscation of an electronic scale suspected of being used to weigh solid drugs, two knives, one of which is large, and two sums of money suspected to be linked to the proceeds of this criminal activity.
The suspects have been placed under judicial custody, at the disposal of the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, with the aim of identifying all circumstances and details of the case and uncovering the potential ramifications and connections of this activity.
This operation falls within the framework of security efforts aimed at combating the illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances and confronting various criminal activities in the city of Dakhla.
