HIBAPRESS – Khalil Fazzazi
Circulating data indicated the registration of two suspected cases of diphtheria, known as "strangle," in the city of Dakhla, pending the results of laboratory analyses and official clarifications from the competent health authorities.
The circulation of this data comes in the context of the re-emergence of cases of this disease in Morocco, as the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 15 confirmed cases nationwide as of October 14th, noting that the epidemiological situation remains under control.
Until official confirmation is issued regarding the two cases registered in Dakhla, the circulating information in this regard remains inconclusive, pending what laboratory examinations and data issued by the relevant health authorities will reveal.
