HIBAPRESS – Fez
The regional judicial police unit in Fez has initiated investigations and inquiries concerning a complaint referred to it by the Public Prosecutor at the Fez Court of Appeal. This is based on information contained in an official complaint filed by the Ministry of Interior, relating to the former president of the Targist commune and six other individuals, on suspicion of administrative irregularities and تجاوزات (transgressions/oversteps) related to local governance.
According to available information, the complaint was filed by the governor of the Al Hoceima province on behalf of the Ministry of Interior, against the individuals concerned. This is part of the procedures aimed at verifying the nature of the alleged acts and determining potential responsibilities.
These developments come in the context of the case of the former president of the Targist commune, against whom a judicial ruling for dismissal from his duties was issued in late 2025, according to available information regarding the case.
The ongoing investigations are expected to include hearing the involved parties, verifying the facts mentioned in the complaint, and gathering the necessary data to determine whether the suspected actions warrant legal responsibilities, all under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
The opening of the investigation is a procedure aimed at verifying facts and determining potential responsibilities, and does not imply guilt or conviction of the individuals concerned, pending the results of the relevant investigations and judicial procedures.
