The third edition of the Regional Exhibition for Social and Solidarity Economy, organized under the slogan "Territorial Innovation and Sustainable Development," launched this Monday morning. The event will run from October 19 to 25, 2026, at Moulay Hassan Park in Marrakesh. The opening was attended by the President of the Marrakesh-Safi Region, the Secretary-General of the Marrakesh-Safi Region Wilaya, the Head of the Planning and Coordination Department representing the Secretariat of State for Handicrafts and Solidarity Economy, the Director-General of the Office for the Development of Cooperation, the Regional Director of Handicrafts, and a number of regional and local directors of relevant institutions.
This exhibition is organized in partnership between the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Solidarity Economy, the Secretariat of State for Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Marrakesh-Safi Region Wilaya, and the Regional Council, with the cooperation of the Marrakesh Municipal Council and several institutional partners.
This edition features the participation of approximately 177 cooperatives, cooperative unions, and economic interest groups. This event offers them an opportunity to showcase and promote their products, exchange experiences and expertise, and explore new marketing opportunities. It also aims to support cooperatives and strengthen their capacities in management, marketing, and governance, and to encourage the uptake of social and solidarity economy products.
The exhibition spans an area of 4000 square meters, including pavilions dedicated to cooperatives and partner institutions, alongside spaces for training and animation.
The program also includes workshops and meetings led by experts and specialists, addressing the development of cooperative projects, innovation, funding avenues, and improving management methods.
In addition to product displays, the exhibition serves as an occasion to highlight the qualifications of cooperatives and emphasize their contribution to boosting the local and regional solidarity economy, particularly in the handicrafts and agriculture sectors. The event will also feature musical and folklore performances and artistic segments celebrating the richness and diversity of the cultural heritage across the various provinces and prefectures of the region.
