The Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, announced on Monday the establishment of a special fund with a financial envelope of two billion dirhams, aimed at activating the official status of Tamazight and strengthening its presence in various fields. This was announced during the presentation of the government program before Parliament in a joint session.
On this occasion, El Mansouri revealed the establishment of a permanent ministerial committee at the Head of Government's office, which will be responsible for monitoring the integration of Tamazight in the sectors of education, administration, justice, media, and public signage. It will also prepare an annual report containing indicators on the level of coverage and progress achieved in this area.
In a related context, the Head of Government affirmed the executive authority's direction towards strengthening the protection of personal data and renewing partnerships with civil society associations by simplifying licensing procedures and activating the right to access information.
Regarding identity and societal cohesion, El Mansouri highlighted that the government will work to preserve the inclusive Moroccan identity and consolidate the values of solidarity among groups, generations, and regions, in addition to maintaining the family as one of the pillars of social stability.
She also pledged to continue activating the reform of the Family Code in accordance with royal directives and to adopt an integrated policy to improve the conditions of children, youth, and the elderly, while strengthening the protection of women and children and ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities.
El Mansouri also emphasized the importance of strengthening the constitutional institutions concerned with human rights, equality, and parity, and developing an integrated policy to empower women and reduce all forms of discrimination.
In the cultural sphere, she affirmed that the government will work to preserve heritage and expand access to culture based on spatial equity, while enhancing its role in development, tourism attractiveness, and sustainability.
Regarding Moroccans abroad, she indicated the government's direction towards adopting an inclusive policy that ensures their citizen participation, maintains continuous communication with them, responds to their needs, and facilitates their contribution to the development of their country.
