A 32-year-old Moroccan man was killed by drowning in the municipal swimming pool of the town of Marciano, which belongs to the territorial influence of the province of Perugia in the Umbria region.
The body of the deceased was found at the bottom of the swimming pool thanks to the intervention of the civil rescue services and a thorough investigation was opened with the managers of the swimming pool, before being transported, on board a mortuary vehicle, to the local hospital with the intention of submitting it to a medical autopsy to confirm the cause of death.
This incident, according to eyewitnesses reported to Hiba Press, caused a state of panic among users of the said swimming pool, a security alert and a great shock among the members of the deceased’s family and the Moroccan community residing in the area.
