Khaled Al-Samadi, the former Secretary of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research, has chosen to change his mind on the ongoing controversy over the participation of men and women in education in the national population census.
Khaled Al-Samadi called for protecting and respecting the dignity of the Education Authority.
Al-Samadi, who spoke in a blog post on his Facebook account, asked: “I don’t know why some people insist on undermining the morale of the Education Authority at the beginning of the school year with descriptions that have nothing to do with the teaching method or even with positive reviews,” referring to Ghali’s description of this category of teachers as thirsty.
The spokesman added: “Noting that participation in the organization of this important national law, since independence until today, was entrusted to them voluntarily and not obligatorily, in order to ensure the credibility and accuracy of the data, and that the ministry took all necessary precautions in all these experiments so that it does not affect the normal progress of the study.
The former government official warned that expressing an opinion is a guaranteed right, but its condition is to protect the dignity of any irresponsible speech.
