France: He gave pork to Muslims by mistake. A baker attacked on social networks and threatened by far-right sites

In a bakery in Vénissieux, a simple altercation following a mistake by a saleswoman, who had given two customers a bacon quiche instead of a cheese quiche, knowing that these customers did not eat pork due to their religious beliefs, was enough.

Without much delay, the threats began to come thick and fast on the internet. The baker, owner of the place, who fully respects “people who don’t eat pork” believes that things have “gone too far”.

The baker then explained that the two customers returned “like furies” and “very violently” to his establishment after realizing that there was bacon in their dish. In order to avoid any future incidents of this kind, he decided to stop making pork products. However, his announcement was picked up by far-right sites that spoke of an “Islamized territory”, a “caliphate” or even the establishment of “sharia”, without thinking about the consequences of their ideas.
