Bolton Wanderers’ Nigerian striker Victor Adeboyejo missed his side’s League Cup win over Barrow after suffering a “bad sneeze”.

Bolton manager Ian Evatt said the 26-year-old will suffer a back injury following the sneeze.

“He sneezed really hard, he felt a little crack between his ribs and I’m hoping it’s just a cartilage or muscle problem, the scan will reveal everything,” Evatt told the Bolton News.

“I have to be careful when players start sneezing because of an injury,” Evatt added.

Adeboyejo has been playing for Bolton since January 2023 and this season the forward has made five appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
