Local authorities in Tata region reported that following the severe thunderstorms in the region which caused exceptional floods yesterday Friday, an incident of a passenger bus being swept away by torrential rains was recorded in Tata Valley, leaving two people provisionally dead, while two people were killed, 13 others were rescued and 14 passengers are missing so far.
Following the floods, the same source added, a case of disappearance of a woman was recorded at the Igorten roundabout, Takzmert community, direction Addis.
According to sources on site, the death of a young woman was recorded among the victims of the bus.
According to the same source, the case concerns a young woman named Naima A., who worked as a nurse during her lifetime at the health center in the Aqa community in Tata province.
The deceased had appealed for help via a video she posted last night, Friday, after floods submerged the bus she was on.
