Last Thursday, the Algerian Ministry of Communication announced a statement confirming the decision to suspend the newspaper “Algeria El Ghad” after the publication of an article accusing what it calls the “axis of evil” of attempting to assassinate President Tebboune..
The communication stated that the Ministry of Communication had summoned the publication director of the newspaper “Algeria El Ghad”, Adel Zakri, and its executive director, Issam Al-Sheikh, to hear them on the content of the published file, which contained misleading and undocumented information and violated the articles regulating journalistic work stipulated in the organic law on the media..
The newspaper claims that there is a “plan by the Zionists and the axis of evil” to target Tebboune, stressing that “President Tebboune is vulnerable to assassination at any time, like President Houari Boumediene (Algeria’s second president).” It relied on what it described as a “well-informed source,” but provided no specific or reliable information..
This newspaper, which lacks credibility and professional ethics in the world of journalism, falsely insults and insults the axis of evil, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, by deliberately including the national flags of these two Arab countries on its official cover.
Due to this trivial publication, this newspaper was the subject of much criticism after its resounding fall, and the exaggerated speculations that it published that were not based on accurate information, which led to the intervention of the authorities to stop the publication..
