France and Morocco regain their political and diplomatic balance so that the two Heads of State consider their close approach very significant, except that the Algerian military regime sees it differently
In this perspective, the acceptance of French President Emmanuel Macron of HM King Mohammed VI’s invitation to visit Morocco aroused the ire of Algiers, which supports the Sahrawi separatists and which subsequently rushed to recall his ambassador from Paris
Nevertheless, and to confirm that relations between Rabat and Paris are strengthening day after day, HM King Mohammed VI sent a letter of invitation for Macron so that he can go to Morocco at the end of October in which Macron welcomes “the horizons promising prospects that are emerging for our two countries.”
This visit will, according to HM King Mohammed VI, be “an opportunity to give our exceptional partnership a renewed and ambitious vision covering several strategic sectors and taking into account the priorities of our two countries”.
