According to the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell, a year after the Hamas attack against Israel, “The situation is only getting worse in the Middle East, a total conflagration that the international community seems incapable of controlling, the populations of the region are more in danger than ever and are trapped in an endless cycle of violence, hatred and revenge”.
The head of EU diplomacy reiterated his call for a ceasefire, stressing that “no military solution can ever bring a future to the Palestinian and Israeli people”.
