The Casablanca authorities are continuing the process of demolition of dozens of homes in Darb Al-Ma’izi, in the old city, as part of the Royal Hajj project.

According to private data, a meeting took place between the governor of Amhidia and representatives of the residents of Darb Al-Ma’izi, which resulted in the conclusion of important agreements allowing the authorities to continue the demolition process while guaranteeing all the rights of the residents concerned.

The Royal Mosque project in the old city of Casablanca is considered one of the important projects that will see the light of day in the economic capital before the 2030 World Cup, as a large-scale demolition of a group of old houses and residences in the area has been in progress for some time.
