The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fattah El Alaoui, promised that the government would continue to respect its commitments on income tax reform.
The minister indicated, during the presentation, today Saturday, in Parliament, of the 2025 finance bill, that the progressive scale of income tax rates will be reviewed by raising the first tranche of annual tax-exempt income. from 30,000 to 40,000 dirhams, which will allow income for salaries below 6,000 dirhams to be exempt monthly.
The Minister indicated a review of the other brackets in the table, with the aim of expanding them and reducing the tax rates applied to them, which will result in a reduction of up to 50% of these rates, in addition to all this, reducing the marginal tax rate from 38% to 37%.
