The journalist and political activist Saeed Bensedira attacked a few days ago the decision of the President of the Algerian Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to make a major cinematographic film on Prince Abdelkader of Algeria.
Bensedira, the Algerian president, was accused of having stirred up the feelings of Algerians, like his predecessor Abdelaziz Bouteflika, regarding Prince Abdelkader’s film project.
The late Algerian President Bouteflika spent billions making a historical film about the life of Prince Abdelkader, but died without seeing a single frame of the film.
For his part, President Tebboune, at the start of his first term, tasked director Rashidi with supervising the production of the film, allocated him a large budget and created a foundation, granting him a palace in the most prestigious neighborhoods of the capital. the capital, and not a single shot was filmed.
Bensedira commented on Tebboune’s decision regarding this film: “Here is the president who promises us, at the start of his second term, to complete the film The Miracle Dream, which has swallowed up billions since 2012 and has not seen the light of day . »
He continued: “Where is the problem and who bears responsibility for the failure, failure and waste of billions? Is there an administration and a will greater than the two presidents that prevent the completion of the historic work?
Bensedira sharply criticized current President Tebboune and his late predecessor Bouteflika, accusing them of exploiting Prince Abdelkader’s film project as a commercial drive to tickle the feelings of the “Hisher”, as he called him, of Algerians.
He concluded his message: “Or is it a sincere desire that comes up against a bitter reality?
