Tariq Abla – Heba Press from the Netherlands
The decision to withdraw passports and attempt to displace young Moroccans from the Netherlands lit the fuse of denunciation and discontent in the ranks of the Moroccan diaspora in this European country, demanding international protection intervention in order to establish the principle of peaceful coexistence.
Moroccans from the diaspora gathered in Amsterdam in a communications meeting to raise awareness of the danger of extremist parties promoting the idea of expelling young Moroccans and withdrawing their passports in light of previous football events in Amsterdam, calling on the Dutch government to abandon this idea, which profoundly attacks the content of humanitarian law and undermines the principle of peaceful coexistence.
The participants unanimously agreed in their interventions that Moroccans, as a people, seek peace, security and safety, are far from fanaticism and are friends of all other peoples of all colors, races and religions.
The participants sent a strong message to the Dutch authorities to put an end to the attempts of extremist parties to undermine the rights of Dutch Moroccans, calling on the Moroccan community and all its components to be vigilant, to monitor the ranks and to defend their just demands and their right to live in safety without persecution.
